Needed to get out of town. Found a cheap flight to Nicaragua and booked a dive adventure. Never dove the Pacific, so was up for something new. Arrived in Managua, jumped in a cab to the central market (mercado huembes).
Took the local transportation (old yellow school bus) through Rivas
to a beautiful little town called San Juan del Sur. It overlooked the Pacific Ocean.
The locals were friendlier than you could imagine. Went diving with the only dive op on the Pacific side of Nicaragua. Two great dives both serenaded with singing whales.
Now that was a vacation…
